7 Major Sightseeing In Kyrgyzstan by Travels Mantra. Kyrgyzstan is rugged central Asian and former USSR member country situated in the famous Silk Road. Kyrgyzstan is Known for its immense beauty, natural landscapes, the Tian Shan Mountain, home to snow Leopards, Lynx and Sheep. The capital city of Kyrgyzstan is Bishkek which borders Central Asian “Tian Shan Mountain Range” (An Ancient Trade Route between the China and the Mediterranean).

1. Ala-Too Square

Bishkek is the capital city of Kyrgyzstan, and the Ala-Too Square is the most prominent location in the city. It is the central square of Bishkek and was constructed in 1984. The square was built to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Kyrgyz SSR. The first statue to be placed on the Ala-Too Square was of Lenin and ever since them statues of the most influential people having been placed there. It is the central location for all the states official events. It is also one of the most visited sites in Kyrgyzstan.

2. Victory Square

Victory Park or the Victory Square us located In the City of Bishek, Kyrgyzstan. It is one of the most famous monuments in the country which has been created to honor the victory of the Great Patriotic War. This old architectural marvel was created in 1984 and features a central area that has the eternal fire. There is a statue of a woman who is eagerly waiting for her husband to return from war and three ribs that are made of red granite. The eternal fire is guarded by the National Guard of Kyrgyzstan, and the guard changing ceremony takes place every hour which is an event everyone should attend.

3. Manas Sculptural Complex

Situated just opposite to the Philharmonic building is a square that holds great importance in the lives of the people living in Kyrgyzstan. It is called the Manas Sculptural Complex. It is the largest statue of Manas sitting on his horse fighting a dragon. His wife, Kanykei and his spiritual adviser, Bakai stand just next to him. As you go along the sides of the complex, you will see the monarchy. These were the people who sang and recited the Epic tails of Mans to the people in Kyrgyzstan.

4. Martyrs of the Revolution

Martyrs of the Revolution are the monument that is situated in Bishkek. It has been created to honor the people who gave their lives for the better future of the country. One of the most prominent statues situated here is of Urkuya Salieva who was a socialist organizer and one of the first women to have joined the revolution. The monument was built in the year 1978 and should be visited by all the people who wish to know about the history of Kyrgyzstan.

5. Issyk-Kul Lake

Situated in the Tian Shan Mountains of eastern Kyrgyzstan is the Issyk-Kul lake which is one of the most beautiful places in the country. The meaning of Issyk-Kul is warm water, and it is a warm water lake. Visiting the lake can be a beautiful experience since the lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and falls under the Issyk-Kul Biosphere reserve. 6. Burana Tower

It is an architectural marvel that still stands erect after suffering through various earthquakes and other natural calamities. It is one of the remains of the ancient city of Balasagun and was built around 10th century. The location is covered by the Tian Shan Mountains, and the entire field is covering the tower is an open-air museum. This is one of the historic locations that is a must visit in Kyrgyzstan.

7. Kyrgyz National Philharmonic

The Kyrgyz National Philharmonic is a beautiful building located in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. It is a huge white building that is named after one of the most famous composers and musician Toktogul Satganov. He is one of the biggest and the most influential artists in Kyrgyzstan of all times and is also known to have founded the Kyrgyz literature. The building is surrounded by beautiful fountains, and a huge square with the statue of manas and his wife stands tall on it. The locals and the tourists constantly visit Karyz National Philharmonic to relax and enjoy the beauty of the place.
