Dubai World Trade Center

The Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) business complex in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, built by Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. Located along Sheikh Zayed Road on Trade Centre Roundabout. The complex cover the genuine tower (built in 1978), eight exhibition halls, the Dubai International Convention Centre and residential apartments.

The 39-storey office tower stands 149 metres (489 feet) tall and majority of floors are commercially. At the time it was built, it was the big building in Dubai (and UAE & the region) and the first high rise along Sheikh Zayed Road. The tenants of the building include Federal Express, General Motors, Johnson & Johnson, MasterCard International, Schlumberger, Sony, UOP LLC, U.S. law firm Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, and the consulates of Italy, Japan, Switzerland and Turkey. The building featured on 100 dirham bank note.
