Heli-Skiing in Iceland

There is something just that little bit extra magical about heli-skiing in Iceland. One thing we like in particular is the personal family-run style that permeates the whole operation. Everyone working here from the guides to lodge staff wants to have the time of your life and it works. In Iceland you treated as individual both on the mountain you made to feel part of experience and not just paying spectator. If you want waiters in bow ties and your ego massaged do NOT come ere. But if you want a genuine, ‘real’ experience with an emphasis on quality skiing, it does not get any better.

It is most sparsely populated region in Jammu and Kashmir, culture and history closely elated of Tibet. In late July and August, all but the top of the peak may be snow-free. The elevation data was verified by GPS readings from 11 satellites at the Summit during a late July 2007 joint Nepalese-US expedition which encountered snow cover for 85% of the final four-hour, four km, 900 metre climb. Polar bears in Spitsbergen The greatest chance of seeing a polar bear would be on a longer cruise around Svalbard, taking you to the North and East of Spitsbergen during the summer (July and August). Polar bears generally found in areas of sea ice, where they can hunt their favourite prey, the ring seal.

The park is home to a number of species of endangered mammals

Adventure in Oman

This exceptional trekking holiday in Oman, explores the most dramatic sections of the Al Hajar range of mountains which run the length of Oman’s northern coastline, rising above the blue waters of the Gulf to a height of 3000 metres. Camping out on the high Sharaf al Alamayn Plateau and on the Sayq Plateau, we visit the high point of Oman at Jabal Shams and enjoy far-reaching views across a landscape of jagged ridge-lines and intervening canyons. A night in a comfortable hotel at the former capital of Nizwa, with time to explore the town’s forts and market streets provides a welcome break, before we complete a 2-day trek across the Eastern Hajar Mountains which ends conveniently at a camp on the beach.
