What came into existence during Second Century BC under the tutelage of the Han Dynasty by Zhang Quian, the Silk Route is one of the historically important ancient routes of all times. It was called Silk Route because of its prevalent trading for so many years. The importance of this ancient route lies in the fact that more than transporting goods and services this route served as a medium of Cultural exchange between many religion and dynasties. China began an initiative in 2013 to revive this ancient route under its strategy called ‘One Belt- One Road’ and pumped 900 Billion Dollars into it. This new route is supposed to connect sixty countries in Asia, Europe, and East Africa thereby increasing trade and commercial traffic.
