Republic Square Tour

Republic Square is the most famous landmark with wonderful architecture, located in Kentron of Yerevan in Armenia. There are two parts in Republic Square, an oval rotary and other is a lake containing musical fountains. There are five important buildings encircled the Republic Square, these are the Government House, Armenia Marriott Hotel, the National Gallery, and the ministries of Foreign Affairs and Transport and Communications and the History Museum.

The Republic Square was designed by Alexander Tasmanian where the construction started in 1926 and construction of all the buildings were completed in 1977. Previously in the Soviet era, the place used to call as the Lenin Square because there was a statue of Vladimir Lenin.
